PJSC “Krasny Kotelshchik” expands manufacturing capabilities of production
As part of the investment program, the Taganrog Boiler-Making Works “Krasny Kotelshchik” (TKZ) has purchased special manufacturing equipment - bevellers. Pneumatic machines, which allow trimming the ends and chamfering both individual pipes/tubes and those included in the gas-tight panels, were transferred to the TKZ Tube and Panel Shop.
One of the two purchased models is designed to prepare for further welding of small diameter tubes ranging from 20 to 63 mm. The second one can handle pipe ends with a diameter of 50 to 108 mm. At the same time, pneumatic machines allow for working with blanks of both ferritic grade steel and more difficult-to-process austenitic steel with a high chromium content.
The bevellers have compact dimensions. This makes the new equipment perfect for processing tubes inside panels, where standard tools are difficult to access. In particular, it provides means for working with membrane gas-tight panels with an opening width of only 40 mm, simultaneously chamfering the tube and the partition using a crown mill.
The bevellers are fixed on the outside of the tube/pipe using special clamps, which provide a safe and reliable fastening without shaking or vibration, ensuring high-quality performance of process operations. There are other benefits: the new equipment increases productivity, reduces energy costs and eliminates unnecessary handling of products, speeding up their shipment to the customer.
