Steam boiler made by “Krasny Kotelshchik” has been put into commissioning at a large Russian cardboard and paper mill
The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works “Krasny Kotelshchik” (TKZ) has taken part in execution of the revamping and modernization program of the key production facilities of Naberezhnochelninsky Cardboard and Paper Mill named after S.P. Titov. One of the leading manufacturers in the Southern Russia has designed and manufactured a gas-and-oil fired boiler with 160 t/h steam capacity.
The Cardboard and Paper Mill named after S.P. Titov is a top ten largest paper and pulp manufacturer in Russia. The Company is constantly improving its performance by involving reliable business partners in execution of the promising projects. “Krasny Kotelshchik” has been delivering both spare parts and new boiler equipment, including steam boilers, to the Mill on a solid long-term basis.
Two such TKZ-made boilers have operated at the Cardboard and Paper Mill for many years. The third boiler unit has been recently put into service. The new equipment was installed inside the additional building connected to the boiler house. Steam, generated by the boiler unit, is intended for use in the production cycle.
TKZ was selected as a Supplier of the boiler unit back in 2020. Good reference list and strong reputation are among the reasons why TKZ secured the order. The steam boiler meets the stringent Russian standards in terms of innovative environmental solutions and safety level. All this was confirmed through warranty tests that took place in the production facility with participation of TKZ technicians.
Being operated on the main fuel (natural gas) and reserve fuel (oil), the boiler has demonstrated high effectiveness, thus living up to the Customer’s expectations and proving the Manufacturer’s compliance with the guarantee obligations. During tests the steam output of the boiler equipment reached 160 tons per hour, performance efficiency was 94% and superheated steam temperature was 250 °C.
